We have created a custom week of providing much needed dental care for the indigenous people of the Guatemalan highlands along with experiencing some of the rich culture of Guatemala. Living there for a year wasn’t enough. We want to go back and we want you to join us!

Cost: $1,995 includes all lodging, in-country transportation, general anesthesia costs for kids treated during the Jornada, dental equipment, included dental materials, meals and a donation to Mason Gives so we can continue the good. Proposed Itinerary:
Friday: Arrive and spend the night in Guatemala City at The Barcelo Hotel.
Saturday:
- Participants can select one of two Options:
- Hike Pacaya Volcano. One of three active volcanoes in Guatemala.
- Travel by plane for a day trip to Tikal National Park ($350 additional fee for this trip to Northern Guatemala to see the largest Mayan ruins in the world.)
Sunday: Breakfast at Barcelo Hotel, travel to Panajachel, walking tour of Panajachel, set up dental clinic, jornada orientation.
Monday: Work in dental clinic in Panajachel.
Tuesday: Work in dental clinic in Panajachel.
Wednesday: Cultural Day on Lake Atitlan visiting the towns of San Juan and San Marcos.
Thursday: Work in dental clinic
Friday: Work in Dental Clinic
Saturday: Zip Lining in Panajachel. Day trip to Antigua. Travel back to the Barcelo Hotel in Guatemala City.
Sunday: Fly home.
We stay in great places, eat super good food and serve A LOT of people. There is no shortage of teeth needing restorations, teeth needing extractions or calculus needing removal.
With our equipment we are able to take digital radiographs, perform comprehensive dentistry and have general anesthesia services available for our young and special needs patients. They are a humble and thankful people who always make you feel appreciated for your service.
We have 25 spots available for dentists, dental assistants, dental hygienists, and other support members in the group. Dental experience is not needed to come, serve and make a difference in the world. Experience with the Spanish language is helpful but not required. We will have interpreters on site to help as we serve.
